Sights for Glock 17

(18 products)

The Glock 17 is the pistol the entire Standard frame is built around - and its sight dovetail is shared by every non-MOS Standard-frame Glock, including the Glock 19, 26, 34 and 45. That shared cut is why this collection and sights for Glock 19 carry the same parts: fit one, and it fits the family. Running the MOS version instead? Sights for Glock 17 MOS is the collection you want, and the taller co-witness sets there won't be listed here.

The one sight picture factory sights handle worst is also the one a defensive shooting is most likely to need: low light. Tritium closes that gap without any maintenance or batteries to keep track of.

Sight styles for the G17

As Glock's original full-size platform, the G17 sees the widest use across duty, competition and training - which shows in the range of sight styles stocked for it:

  • Fully adjustable sights, windage and elevation, for shooters dialling a precise zero - the natural choice if you compete or reload and want your point of impact matched to your own load.
  • Low-profile sights for a snag-free duty and carry setup with no optic involved - fixed, drift-adjustable for windage, and built to clear a holster cleanly.
  • Illumination in fiber optic (fast, high-contrast front post for daylight and competition), tritium (self-illuminating, no battery, for low light), luminescent dots or classic white dots and white lines.

A fiber optic front post is the faster pick for range and competition use, where the brighter aiming point speeds up target transitions in daylight. Tritium is the better call if the G17 doubles as a home-defense or duty gun, since it holds a visible sight picture at night without needing a flashlight trained on the target. Neither is objectively better - it comes down to whether daylight speed or night-time visibility matters more for how you actually use the gun.

Installation parts

Alongside full sight sets, this collection also carries a spare front sight retaining screw (2-pack) and a dedicated screwdriver sized for Glock front sights from Angry Bear - worth having on hand if you're installing or swapping sights yourself, since the factory screw is small and easy to misplace mid-install.

Adding a red dot to a non-MOS G17

A standard G17 slide has no factory optics cut, but that doesn't rule out a red dot: a red dot mount takes the place of the rear sight in the existing dovetail, with no slide milling. Pair it with a co-witness-height front sight from this collection to keep a backup sight picture under the dot.
