This collection contains monoculars from Vector Optics. A monocular is half of a binocular. It is lighter and smaller, and you use it with one eye. It suits hunters and shooters who need a quick look at a target and want to save weight.
The models
Paragon 8x42: 8x magnification and a 42 mm objective. It has a tactical reticle and a belt strap clip. Field of view is 7.2°. Weight is 388 g. Waterproof to IP67.
Forester 10x50 ED: 10x magnification and a 50 mm objective with ED glass. Field of view is 6°. Weight is 470 g. Waterproof to IPX7.
How to choose
8x gives a wider field of view and a steadier image in the hand. 10x shows more detail at distance. The larger 50 mm objective of the Forester gathers more light at dusk. Both models have a BaK-4 roof prism, fully multi-coated lenses and twist-up eyecups. Both are filled with nitrogen, so they do not fog inside.
