Red dot mounts for Tanfoglio models

This collection contains red dot mounts for Tanfoglio pistols without an optic cut. Most mounts replace the rear sight. A side mount installs on the frame. You need no slide milling and no permanent modifications.

Which mount fits which Tanfoglio

• Stock, Match and Limited Custom family: one mount family fits many models, including the Stock 1, Stock 2, Stock 3, Match and Limited Custom. Toni System type A and B and Outer Impact type C. See Red dot mounts for Tanfoglio Stock 2 and Red dot mounts for Tanfoglio Limited Custom.
• Stock 2: also a Shield Sights mount for the Shield RMSc footprint.

Side mount for frames with pre-drilled holes

Some Tanfoglio frames have pre-drilled holes for a side mount, such as the Domina, Gold Match and Limited Custom. The Toni System side mount installs there. It takes the Trijicon RMR footprint. The red dot sits on the frame and does not move with the slide. See Red dot mounts for Tanfoglio Domina.

Toni System uses type letters for sets of footprints. Type A fits Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP and Docter. Type B fits Trijicon RMR and C-More RTS.

Outer Impact type C fits Trijicon RMR, C-More RTS and Docter.

Installation

Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail with a sight pusher or a punch. Push the mount into the same dovetail and fix it. Then screw the red dot onto the mount. No slide milling or permanent modifications are needed. See Installation tools.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put a red dot on my Tanfoglio without an optic cut?

Yes. The mount goes into the rear sight dovetail in place of the rear sight. No milling and no permanent changes, so you can put the rear sight back at any time.

Can I install the mount at home?

Yes, if you have a sight pusher or a punch.

1. Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail.
2. Push the mount into the dovetail and tighten it.
3. Screw the red dot onto the mount with a drop of threadlocker on each screw.

Which red dots will fit?

It depends on the mount you choose. Every mount takes one footprint or a group of footprints. For Tanfoglio we have mounts for the Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP, Docter and C-More RTS footprints.

Find the footprint of your red dot in its specifications and take the mount that names it.

Rear sight mount or side mount?

A rear sight mount sits on the slide and moves with it. The side mount stays on the frame, which needs pre-drilled holes for it.
