Red dot mounts for Steyr models

This collection contains a red dot mount for Steyr pistols. One Outer Impact type C mount fits the A1 series, including the S-A1, C-A1, M-A1, L-A1 and M9-A1. It also fits the A2 series: L9-A2, M9-A2 and C9-A2. It takes red dots with the Trijicon RMR, C-More RTS or Docter footprint. The mount replaces the rear sight, with no permanent modifications.

Installation

Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail with a sight pusher or a punch. Push the mount into the same dovetail and fix it. Then screw the red dot onto the mount. No slide milling or permanent modifications are needed. See Installation tools.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put a red dot on my Steyr without an optic cut?

Yes. The mount goes into the rear sight dovetail in place of the rear sight. No milling and no permanent changes, so you can put the rear sight back at any time.

Can I install the mount at home?

Yes, if you have a sight pusher or a punch.

1. Drift the rear sight out of the dovetail.
2. Push the mount into the dovetail and tighten it.
3. Screw the red dot onto the mount with a drop of threadlocker on each screw.

Which red dots will fit?

It depends on the mount you choose. Every mount takes one footprint or a group of footprints. For Steyr we have mounts for the Trijicon RMR, Docter and C-More RTS footprints.

Find the footprint of your red dot in its specifications and take the mount that names it.

Does the mount fit my A2?

Yes. It fits the A1 series and the L9-A2, M9-A2 and C9-A2.
