Running a red dot doesn't have to mean losing your iron sight picture if the optic ever fails or runs dry: a co-witness height set keeps the front post visible inside the dot's window at all times, so the backup sight picture is already lined up rather than something to hunt for under stress.

Stocked as matched front-and-rear sets, semi-adjustable co-witness sets (fixed front, windage-adjustable rear, co-witness height). Illumination options include fiber optic, tritium, luminescent dots, white dots.

Fiber optic front sights gather ambient light along a thin rod and glow at the tip - fast to find in daylight, which is why most competition shooters run one on the front post. Tritium sights use a sealed, self-illuminating gas vial instead, holding a visible sight picture in the dark with no battery to charge.

Whichever illumination you pick, the co-witness height is what matters most here - it's what keeps the sight picture aligned with the optic's window. Fiber optic makes that backup picture easier to find quickly; tritium keeps it visible if you also carry the gun after dark.
